Zoe Rose Hicks, LMFT – Cofounder
When Zoe learned that postpartum home visits are common practice across much of Europe, the idea resonated with her. As a marriage and family therapist and as a mother herself, she she founded Postpartum Project in 2015 to promote a more integrated model of postpartum care and work against the isolation that many new mothers experience.
A licensed therapist with a private practice in Brooklyn, Zoe is a member of:
- The American Association for Marriage and Family Therapists
- The Women’s Mental Health Consortium in New York City
- Postpartum Support International
- The International Marce Society for Perinatal Mental Health
Zoe holds an M.A. in Clinical Psychology and B.A. in Literature and Creative Writing from the University of California, Santa Cruz and Antioch University. Zoe is an adjunct professor at Adelphi University, where she teaches on the diagnosis and treatment of postpartum depression.

Louis Rassaby – Cofounder
Louis is a software engineer specializing in user-centered design and building data-intensive applications. Prior to founding the Postpartum Project, he led the New Products engineering team at Phosphorus Genomics, creating data analysis software and user experiences to educate tens of thousands of people about their risks of genetic disease. Louis received his BS in Computer Science from Tufts University.
