Issues Treated

My goal is to help families find simplicity and ease in the early days of their parenthood. To let go of the busy word and the overload of information in order to tune into their own rhythm and intuition. To allow the time and space to heal, reconfigure and deeply bond.
This looks different for every family and even different from day to day. But, the needs remain the same: Support; that could be cooking meals, helping with chores, providing resources. Empathy; listening to your stories, challenges, celebrations and holding your dreams up. Pampering (or promoting self care); herbal baths, massage, cups of tea, changing sheets. Whatever makes you feel at peace and happy, that is my job to help you get there. Experience; breastfeeding, baby massage, baby wearing, sleeping, diapering. I have been there personally and for many other Brooklyn families. These are the tools of the trade and we can navigate which would fit into your life.

I not only work with first time parents but, also families welcoming sibling (this is especially near and dear to my own heart).

Education and Experience

I started working with Brooklyn women and families eight years ago as a member of the Brooklyn Birthing Center. I attended births, saw patients for office visits and taught childbirth education with a custom curriculum written by me. I am trained and have worked as a birth doula, a postpartum doula, and an abortion doula. Most recently, I have done additional education around various traditions and physiology of the postpartum period, and placenta encapsulation.

Approach to Treatment

I help all kinds of families prepare and create the space needed to nourish and honor a new mother and her baby. My "tools of the trade" are simple yet, timeless. Armed with nourishing foods, a warm touch, a fellow mother's empathy and a deep appreciation for the hard work of postpartum, I want to help you get to know your beautiful baby, yourself as a mighty mother and your new family as a strong and loving unit.
