Postpartum maternal mental health… What does it look like? Mental health is the ability to tolerate a wide range of emotions, to navigate what we in the therapeutic circles know as the “good enough” mother, to let some things go for the sake of alleviating that exhaustion and to understand when you lose it, that is okay too. This mother encapsulates it.
From what she describes in her article, she is funny, hard working, has the ability to take things in with a grain of salt, and best of all, she knows she is a good mother. There are varied portraits of maternal mental health. This is one of them.
